Application:
This is designed to test the thermal protective and insulation performance of exposed outer surfaces (including flame-retardant protective clothing, fire-fighting suits, fire boots, gloves, and helmet exteriors) made of flame-retardant fabrics when exposed to radiant and convective heat sources. It supports calculations for TPP (Thermal Protective Performance) value, TPE (Thermal Protective Evaluation) test, and FFF (Fabric Flammability Factor) algorithm.

Thermal protection performance tester: under specified heat flux, the second-degree burn time is derived from the intersection of the response curve (calorimetric sensor temperature rise curve) and Stoll curve (human tissue tolerance curve). Higher product of heat flux level and second-degree burn time denotes superior thermal protection of the fabric.
